Summer Show Choir Camp (SSCC ’12) is brought to you by Hart High School’s Show Choir Program and is directed by their award winning choreographers and musical directors and assisted by selected advanced students.
Summer Show Choir Camps have been a huge summer hit in the Santa Clarita Valley for the past three years. Currently entering our 5th year, we expect a huge turn out! This camp caters to young, budding performers who highly enjoy singing, dancing, performing onstage and hanging out with friends. There is absolutely no previous experience needed to participate in this camp: we will teach YOU how to read music, memorize harmonies, learn choreography quickly, and become a confident performer!

The camp is 2 weeks long, from 1pm-5pm Monday through Friday, starting on Monday July 9th and ending on Friday, July 20nd. The culminating event of SSCC ’11 is our wonderful Showcase performance, held on Saturday, July 21st at 6pm. In this showcase, we will perform all the group numbers learned during the two weeks of the camp (about 6-7) which include a variety of musical styles. Those campers who wish can also prepare and audition for a solo act to be performed during the Showcase! And lastly, any camper who loves to dance can participate in our famous Dance Ensemble (more information to follow!). We work very hard for the 2 weeks to make sure that the Showcase is a success, so we’d like to say that attendance is mandatory. Summer schedules, vacations and other sports do get in the way, but you and your child will NOT want to miss participating in the Showcase!
The minimum age to enroll in SSCC ’11 is any young boy or girl entering 6th grade in Fall 2012 and the maximum age is a high school junior. Due to the wide spread of ages and talents attending the camp, at times we break up into a junior high group and a high school group. Each group will learn a number according to their difficulty level. We will perform numbers together as a full camp ensemble as well.
